The level of integral maturity in three metal mechanic enterprises located in Quevedo city, Ecuador, is assessed based on a group of requirements expressing the factors describing enterprise efficiency. From this, the integrality of the proposed index. Different relative weights are given to the factors, which depend on the requirements for assessing the maturity level of the enterprise. This concedes additional value to this assessment. INDUHORST, one of the three organizations, obtains 5.96, which means ¨growing enterprise¨ with a tendency ¨to sustainability¨. Then follows JATARIC, with 4.81 also considered a ¨growing enterprise¨. Finally, MAQGRO gets 4.58, enough to classify under the category ¨growing enterprise¨, but showing a strong tendency to be considered only a stable enterprise. In each case aspects to be improve can be distinguished, so that higher competitivity levels could be achieved.
