This study examines the impact of integrating the Project-Based Learning (PBL) teaching method into the curriculum of the "Statistical Methods in Economics and Business" course. The approach involved students creating videos that tested economic and/or social hypotheses using the statistical techniques learned during the course. The primary objective was to cultivate a crucial yet often overlooked skill within the curriculum: the effective communication of information, ideas, problems, and solutions to a non-specialized audience. The video project aimed to challenge students to articulate the learned statistical methods in a straightforward manner, while preserving the core message. This approach aligns with prospective scenarios where graduates, functioning as professionals, must advise clients and managers on technical subjects without assuming prior advanced statistical knowledge. Our results indicate a significant preference among participants for producing informative videos instead of conventional presentations. Students found that this approach contributed to a deeper assimilation of statistical concepts and enhanced their capacity for synthesis. These videos were presented to first-year students in a dedicated session. Attendees reported that the activity facilitated engagement with realworld problems, showcasing the practical utility of their academic knowledge and subsequently boosting their motivation to pursue further studies.
