El presente trabajo es una sinopsis sobre una investigación de más de quince años por lo que en este particular solo se abordaran los aspectos más significativos de la de la misma, se hace un recuento de los antecedentes, la motivación, pertinencia científica y los resultados a los que se arribaron a través de los métodos empleados que permitieron el tratamiento de una temática, que por antigua, no deja de tener una notoria actualidad y que se resume en la siguiente interrogante: ¿el desarrollo cultural alcanzado por las sociedades que se vivieron en La Mayor de las Antillas les permitió elaborar instrumentos musicales y utilizarlos en su vida cotidiana?
Hispanic archaeomusicology in Cuba
This paper is an overview on research over fifteen years so that in this respect only, addressing the most significant aspects of it, there is an account of the background, motivation, and scientific relevance results that are arrived at through the methods that allowed the treatment of a subject, that old, not without a noticeable now and are summarized in the following question: cultural development achieved by the companies which lived in the Greater Antilles enabled them to produce musical instruments and use them in your daily life?
