The path of individuation and alchemy: its symbols of transformation through contemporary artists.

The unconscious would exert a significant influence on the creations of art, which in many cases translates into primordial images or archetypes that would have parallels with alchemy, mythology, primitive rites, and religious teachings, with a great relationship between these archetypes and instincts, which can be revealed through fantasy in symbolic images. In this evolutionary process of the psyche, different phases would appear, such as shattering or dismemberment until reaching the coniunctio or mystical union of opposites where archetypal models are manifested that would be active and that contemporary artists recreate through symbolic actions and primal figures.
In this article, we will see what these archetypes are, analysing how these symbolic configurations would be instincts and hereditary preformations that would influence the world of the artist, producing imagery that is related to the transition periods of the evolution of consciousness, and how these symbols of transformation are demanding the need for the realisation of our inner being seeking transcendence.
