In recent years, a new semi-nomadic lifestyle trend has gained popularity: the camper van movement. Context art may also have been influenced by this way of traveling and living in a van. Camper habitats make it easier for creators to move quickly between locations, have a deeper connection with natural rhythms, transport art pieces, create relational spaces, and engage in introspection. Straddling the line between home and portable studio, this way of living and producing is linked to the figure of the flâneur and the drifting movements of the 20th century, allowing for the exploration of "a walking pedagogy of the self" (Irwin, n.d.). Based on a comparative study of two artistic projects carried out in the regions of Bages, Lluçanès, Moianès, and Osona (Catalonia), we speculate on a nomadic methodology for artistic creation on wheels. The size of a car and the whole world serve as the pillars for an immersive way of working that aims to be respectful of the environment and its realms of imagination. More focused on processes than results, it embraces performance, ephemeral installations, documentary work, and mediation as some of its main strategies.
