Usually, exhibition curating is understood as the final stage of a process, where the results of prior research are presented. However, starting with the exhibition and, from it, generating new questions makes it possible to expand the objectives of both the display and the research itself. Ramón Gaya’s Graphic Work: Encountering New Techniques emerges from this approach, proposing a different way of working in which the museum functions as a space for study as well as for exhibition. In this way, the artworks, archives, and other materials become the foundation of a parallel process between curating and research, offering an alternative path to understand and disseminate Ramón Gaya’s production.
