Reviewers information
The reviewers are consulted about their confirmation to be part of the review group, extendable until further consultation, however, the group can be increased at any time due to review needs.
To be part of the review team, they cannot be part of the editorial team to avoid access to information on the identity of the authors. But it is possible to be part of the scientific or advisory committee and the review team, since neither have access to the control panel of the website in any way.
However, it is possible to belong to the editorial team and to the reviewer at different stages, since in this way access to the journal's control panel is separated.
Reviewers are always assigned through the journal's OJS platform, however, once they accept the review through the platform, it is possible to do the review in a combined way through the website and by mail electronic.
Upon being assigned and by mail, they are initially informed of the process, and also through reminders or resolution of doubts, about all the details of the review, which, however, are included in the editorial policies and in this section as follows:
The originals will be subject to blind peer review so that the review team will not know the authorship of the articles. Neither the authors will know the review team. Once the reports of the evaluation team have been completed, the authors will be informed about the acceptance or rejection of the articles for publication, as well as the appropriate modifications in the cases that are required in terms of structure or style.
The editorial team will assign the article to a minimum of two expert people who will review the article and make a report with a verdict of acceptance or rejection of the article, or, where appropriate, acceptance with improvement. For the definitive publication, the positive evaluation of both will be required. In case of not having a positive evaluation by the two evaluators, it will be submitted to a third evaluation. The final result will lead to the acceptance of the manuscript, the need to introduce corrections to re-evaluate the possible acceptance of the work or the rejection of its publication in the journal.
The review team must meet the following requirements and parameters necessary to carry out the work of reviewing articles:
- They must make a correction report that will be provided to the author for subsequent review when requested and in any case must be sent to the director of the journal. This report has a template that is provided directly through the assignment on the website, however, it is also provided by mail. Said report identifies the article exclusively by its title and the order number of the website that is only visible to the editorial team until the entire process is finished.
- Each reviewer must comply with the confidentiality policy.
- It will provide a correction free of ideological biases, whether political, racial, gender or sex.
- The review must be carried out within the established times indicated by the editing team.
- It will notify the existence of any plagiarism in the articles or the breach of the legislation related to copyright.
- Complete through the OJS platform the acceptance of the review tasks and decision to accept or reject the work presented or notify of any difficulty for this by requesting communication by email.
- The articles will be sent through the OJS platform in which they have to register, or report any difficulty to do so by sending them by email, in which case, the editorial team sends the document in the reviewer's space /to.
The Editorial Board, taking into account all the external reports, will be the one that makes the final decision on the publication or rejection of each article and will always communicate said decision to the authorships in a motivated manner.
The reviewers are also informed that since the formats offered can be essays, research articles or proposals and intervention projects, interviews or other novelties that may arise, the criteria and standards are very open. Special interest is given to creative processes, so these formats may respond to artistic structures regardless of whether they are essays, research articles or any other, as long as their content has included aspects of research or the type of article in which you want to frame it, therefore, the reviews must take into account that the rules are flexible, that the articles cannot respond to a protocol and fixed structures for all formats. For this reason, it is of special care on the part of the management of the journal that the review team responds to the appropriate expert profile.
