Along the history, water has been inhabitated and protected by uncountable deities, created by the imagination of man. In fact, in different existing cultures around the world, water has been related with woman, therefore, there are many stories in which protagonists are female spirits located in streams, rivers, lakes or wells. In most cases, legends usually narrate the meeting between these "Loci" genius and humans beens. Despite the miles that separate European countries and those belonging to the Far East (Korea, China and Japan) the interaction between the two worlds is very similar, as vestiges of a possible Eurasian cultural unit. Hence, this project focuses on making a comparative ecocritical analysis among female water spirits and human being thus we are able to detect the similarities in the narratives of both cultures.
