Abstract

This paper analyses how the museum in order to eliminate heteronormative and androcentric biases can include sexual and gender diversity through its own functions: acquisition and
collection of materials, conservation. exhibition, mediation and education. This work focuses on the latter function by proposing a practical application: a pedagogical guide for teachers
about a temporary exhibition. By the selection of objects of different cultural and historical contexts, we intend to show how an anthropological approached study of gender and sexuality
can provide tools to facilitate education in diversity in the particular field of museums.
