Democracy according to gassroot militants and local representatuves

Abstract

This article is a first approach in regard to the conception of democracy in the differents political parties with institutional representation. The principal subject is the conception of democracy for grass-roots members and local political representatives of political parties on the town council. Un analysis about a discussion group carried out in summer 2018 is accomplished, in which collaborated a grass-roots members of differents parties with institutional representation, accompained by individual interview to a local political representatives with changes in the city council. This interviews is conducted in Linares, a city of Jaén, industrial city in the past that, nowadays, suffers a several recession due to lack of jobs since the closure of the main companies of the city. In addition the political party PSOE is governed during the entire democracy, with the exception of a term in the 90’s of last century. Throughout interventions of each participant in the focus group, just as individual interviews, differences will define about what democracy is, discipline of the party, the rol of political representative… That wil demostrate a diversity and differences regarding the conception to the participants in this groups and individuals interviews to local representatives about what is the democracy.
