When conceiving attention as an exclusive selection process, it becomes evident that certain areas of three-dimensional space are underestimated in relation to a visual hierarchy associated with the principle of utility (Rosa et al., 2023), as well as lighting and accessibility. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that such seemingly peripheral architectural fragments, from the perspective of a Western adult without prior aesthetic education, are chosen by some contemporary artists, emerging as fundamental elements in their artistic discourses. Through a visual analysis of the spatial poetics inherent in these perspectives, which are often overlooked in the perception of architecture, intrinsic connections are established between the works of contemporary artists operating within the expanded field. This study meticulously examines the relevance of the choice of such three-dimensional supports and their impact on the final exhibition proposal.
