From 28 September to 1 October 2023, the Chair Teatralidades expandidas, a space for thought and dialogue on contemporary performing arts, was held at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid, Spain). The Chair, organised by the ARTEA collective, focused on the artistic production of Forced Entertainment, a company from Sheffield, England. Dedicated to theatre and performance, the group, founded in 1984, is about to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Tim Etchells, its artistic director, Richard Lowdon and Claire Marshall, two of its performers, were present. This work aims, based on a review of the event, to reflect on the possibilities of performance practices to experiment with temporality and invite us to imagine a common world.
