LA CARRERA DE BOLA Y ARIWETA RARÁMURI EN LA SIERRA TARAHUMARA

Abstract

Etimololically the word ‘’ raramuri’’, that identifies the ethnic group that inhabits in the saw Tarahumara, inside the saw of the Mexican Western Mother, signifies ‘’ running foot’’ or ‘’
running on foot’’ and is exactly the career one of its cultural pecularities by the ones that are acquaintances internationally, which maintains currently full force being resisted to change. Of her we are going to occupy in this text that, in base to the work of field carried out during eleven pull since 2001 to 2003 in different communities of the High one and the Low one Tarahumara, has as main assignment to describe with detail all the aspects relating to the structure and dynamics of the career, like indispensable step to deepen in its meanings. Including an adequate description on the complete process in which develops the career, constitutes a basic requirement to know that we are trying a total cultural and social fact that goes a lot but there of the simple motor action, because of it we have believed opportune to be dense in the descriptive task and not to enter his interpretation by motives of space, although yes we finish advancing a series of questioning as Matter of reflection. To begin, nevertheless, is always opportune to situate that of what is going to speak in the space and the time, and thus we do it putting to the race raramuri between the legend and the history.
