Abstract

In the present work we discussed the epistemological differences between two methodology resources, quantitative and the qualitative one to decide what of them to apply in an
investigation in course, with the objective to use it in the legal education, theoretically democratic –by constitutional mandate– in the Mexican State. On the one hand, it is reflected on the quantitative instruments, about the feasibility of its application concerning an object of so dynamic study, as it is it the legal-democratic education, problematically the fact that one is a phenomenon to which to be applied him to static criteria of measurement the results they would be very poor. Of this reflection, the necessity happens to explore the capacities of the qualitative methodology, where we found favorable characteristics of its tools in its application to the mentioned object, standing out the benefits when producing research results in agreement with a changing educative reality. The reflective experience leads to us, to conclude, finally, that the ethnology is useful not only for this tactical mission, but for social juridical objects generally.
