Abstract

In this article we propose to reflect on the transmission and perpetuation of the concept of modern femininity through the experiences, education and social hierarchy of women
who lived in the convent of the Dominicans of Torredonjimeno (Jaén) in transit century the twentieth century, their role in the transmission and perpetuation of the foundations of patriarchal society in the formation of the pupils, who internalized the monastic seclusion and privacy and homely as the natural space where to develop the functions of its generic function. Thus, we rescued female conventual spaces as a laboratory for analysis of the status of women in general and its dual-class design.
